Well, the 2009 – 2010 winter is going to include an El Niño. And it sure seems to be in full effect. I recall a few years ago, an el niño was cause for tumultuous media coverage. Which was beneficial as I had never heard of an el niño before. We are certainly getting a lot more snow and colder weather this year it seems. But then again I suffer from the same human syndrome as all others… it’s always worse now!
A look at the NOAA web site article on this years el niño does show some missed predictions though.
