I wanted to write (which I just did), “but not Ferlin Husky. If you don’t know, and care to, he has an entry on Wikipedia. So, just one more piece of evidence of just how ancient I truly am.
Now that we’ve established that I’m not Ferlin. I am in Nebraska. Woke up after a pleasant night’s sleep. Night number two in the popup tent. I switched things up a bit. There was no chance of rain so I left all the flaps only mesh. The yawning door of the tent was facing east. The sun tickled my ears bright and early this morning. I’m a good grunter. Which I did, covered my head and dozed a bit more. Soon enough it was hot. Too hot to grunt.
Two cups of delicious coffee this morning and I’m finishing this draft and about ready to pack up.
Now where am I? Near Syracuse Nebraska. Nice little campground named Little Rivers Edge. Quaint, nice, and new. Not a lot of shade, but come back in a few years and there will be some. There lots of juvenile trees planted. All the sites are level and freshly graveled. The facilities are sparse, only a porta-potty. But it works. Doesn’t flush though.
I’m becoming more familiar with my rig, and am more confident. And, I think it was a good choice for me. I enjoy the quick setup and takedown for the popup tent. My coffee station is easy to setup as well. The propane tank fitted to my rig is perfect for my Coleman stove. I stopped near the campground before getting here, and picked up a sandwich and a container of potato salad, so no cooking last night. I wanted to enjoy some stars as there wasn’t a cloud in the sky, but the mosquitos were devastating.
In case you’re interested, here’s a few pics of my setup. If you’re reading my posts, you’ll see the spoiler.

The next time you hear from me I’ll be in WY, not CO. I’ll explain later.
Peace and love,
Marv
