Red Feather Lakes, Part Deux, Part II…

Now where was I… Oh yeah, far far from the pit of despair. More the hills of splendor. That’s how cool Red Feather is.

I’ve kind of had a nostalgic bent lately. One thing I’ve been vibing on is Kimbro’s Pickin’ Parlor. If you find yourself gravitating anywhere around Franklin Tennessee, do yourself a favor: Go to Kimbro’s!

Kool Koozie… Kimbro’s.

There’s family time, and then there’s Family Time!

We had the latter. Very much so. I’m not gonna go into much of it, but I will share a few observations. First of all, I am proud of my family. Our family. The kids (they’re adults, but damn they are my lovely kids.) My heart swelled with pride watching them commune, and take part in a communion of spirit that only the isolation of the Rocky Mountains can provide. They stayed up talking into the night. I love hearing them talk; speak their minds, and share their insights and opinions. It was lovely.

That’s me on the left, showing my best side.

Nerd Alert!!! (Geology Edition)

Well, geology and scenery too. There were some really cool rocks in the area. A subset of the family were out rockhounding, and I followed along.

All Good Things Must End

But not really end. I would rather say, pause. Because we’ll take them up again. Maybe smaller subsets of the family. But for sure we shall gather again. Actually… I think we will in November. In Korea! I can’t wait to post that adventure.

For now I’ll sign off and just say, getting out in nature, whether alone, with friends, or family, is a great way to cleanse the mental palette. Do it.

For now, as usual, peace and love…
Marv
